The columns yesterday evening. Today waterproofs are on and we will hopefully get the rest of the initial coverings up.
Another column sewn together. Nearly there!
It was great to have some students from South Birmingham College help us sew last week. Thank you for helping us guys!
Some of the students have been to the K2TOG project today to help sew together the knitted pieces created for the columns of the BMAG.
5 days until the Jamaican team arrive! We are still busy sewing away…
Red column all sewn up.
Just 5 more to go…
Some more images from our first 2 days of sewing up panels for K2TOG.
The sewing starts!
For each column (six in all) there are 96 panels that need to be mattress stitched together on their vertical edges. Each horizontal edge then needs to be kitchenered together.
Luckily we have plenty of tea, biscuits and cake to keep us going!
Completed panels for K2TOG
Don’t forget to return your panels to K2TOG pop up shop by Saturday 30 June
