Some of the many knitters involved in K2TOG. Thank you everyone. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Some more photographs of the finished piece.

I want to invite everyone who participated in K2TOG to a group photo call in front of the exhibition at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday 4th August at 9:30am.
I would like as many people as possible to come along and be photographed in front of the exhibition so we can commemerate the mammoth effort made by the knitters of Birmingham and beyond.
Hope to see you all on 4th August.

Some more images from our first 2 days of sewing up panels for K2TOG.

I am looking for volunteers to help stitch together panels for K2TOG. We will be working from our project pop up shop located in the Pavilions.
You will need to have good basic sewing skills. All materials will be provided. There will, of course be tea, biscuits and my eternal grattitude.
If you have any availability between 1-15 July please contact info@stitchesandhos.co.uk

The Olympic torch is working its way across the country and the K2TOG pop-up shop is busy with knitters.
There are now only seven days until the end of our crowd-fundraiser. Go on, please help us meet our target and fund our knitting workshops. We’re aiming to teach as many people as we can the wonderful skill of hand-knitting. What a wonderful opportunity for people to learn a new skill and be part of a project to welcome the Jamaican and American teams to Birmingham for London 2012.
Donations can be made here.
It’s not long until the Jamaican and American teams arrive in Birmingham but it’s even sooner to our crowd-funding deadline! Why not help welcome Usain Bolt, the fastest man on earth and the rest of the teams to the second city in a truly unique way!
There’s only 12 days to donate to the K2TOG project. Even a pound will help us continue our knitting workshops. You can donate and find out more here.
Why not also contribute to the project by knitting a square which will end up covering the columns of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. Drop-in to our pop-up shop in the Pavilions to find out more about the project, learn how to knit and pick up some wool too!
